The Beginning
Sharafalis – Your Winter Wear Shop established in 1950 is a third generation family business known to many Malaysians as the place to go for all your Winter Clothing and Travelling needs. Sharafali’s began as a Department Store at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman right in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (formerly known as Batu Road to many) offering a wide range of goods but made the first move to specialize in Winter Clothing and Luggage in the wake of travelling boom.
Today we have third generation customers who come in and tell their children about how they came to Sharafali’s when they were younger with their parents! The enduring loyalty and trust of Sharafali’s customers is the biggest testament for its longevity.
The Products – The ‘Right’ Products
Many customers come into our stores with little idea what one needs to withstand winter conditions, as it would be their first experience – some can’t even come to terms that they will need 4 layers of clothing for the -10 oCelcius temperature they are heading to. Therefore at Sharafali’s we are more of a winter wear and weather consultant first and winter wear retailers second!
At Sharafali’s it’s a very common experience for most of our customers of being greeted by hosts of queries from our sales consultant once they step in. Our customers destinations , their purpose of travel and the time of the year they are travelling (actually right up to the date they are catching the flight!) are some of the main inputs we need in layering them up with the right winter essentials.

The variety in our range ensures a business travellers gets the right woollen coat as an outer layer to his slim fitting lambswool sweater; luxurious merino wool socks for his dress shoes and an elegant pure viscose scarves to give the correct uber style; notwithstanding at the same time a leisure/ holidays traveller will be prepped up with the warm and thin fur fleeced/quilted parka to go with a light weight pure Shetland wool pullover and our soft next to the skin thermal underwear to be able to withstand the harsh outdoor winter.
After so many years in business our best moments are still when each one of our customers leaves the shop with the confident smile knowing they have the right product to face the winter heads on without compromising their experience one bit!

Sharafali’s whilst never lurking away from our core business policy of providing customers with quality products, has always been making sure that our travelling products are always affordable.
